Solstice est inspirée par l’effet de la trajectoire cyclique du soleil ainsi que par les étranges formes des myxomycètes* en développement. La projection séquentielle lumineuse crée une animation où la sculpture organique éclairée ainsi que ses jeux d’ombres s’entremêlent et se complètent. Le dessin devient sculpture et la sculpture devient dessin. L’artiste exploite l’éclairage et sa projection, cherchant à ce que la lumière fasse corps avec l’œuvre, telle une matière à part entière.

Solstice is inspired by the effect of the cyclic trajectory of the sun and by the strange forms of developing myxomycetes*. The sequential projection of lights creates an animation where the illuminated organic sculpture and its play of shadows intermingle and complement each other. The drawing becomes sculpture and the sculpture becomes drawing. The artist makes use of the lighting and its projection, seeking to make light one with the work, a subject in its own right.
